People call us all the time to ask questions about anti theft systems. LoJack is one that comes up often so I decided to write about it. I think LoJack is a great system with drawbacks most people are unaware of. It is fabulous to locate lost items through technology. In dealing with auto theft it is best to have multi layered systems. However most people cannot afford to. Most vehicles are stolen during the night hours, therefore by the time you find out about it and report it, too much time has passed. The police then have to contact LoJack to locate the vehicle.. Many clients that I have installed the Ravelco in, I have installed in their NEW cars and trucks..Why? Because yes LoJack found their vehicle, however what they got back was unimaginable, aside from disgusting, and they simply did not want it anymore. The Ravelco protects your investment from being stolen...so locating would not even be needed. On top of the large fee for the tracking service, there are monthly fees as well as ping fees. Everytime you call to find out where your car or truck is you are charged a fee (ping fees).

Below are actual pictures that were taken after a thief tried to steal a truck with a Ravelco installed. Fords that I have seen found by Lojack 4-5 days later are actually worse. With the Ravelco installed it was no match for the thief...and was still in the driveway!
